WHO ARE WE?

Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to empowering individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders.  With its headquarters in southern California, there are more than 350000 memberships in 16400 clubs in 141 countries that make up a global network of meeting locations. 

​

 District 87 is one of the many districts of Toastmasters International that comprises of Indonesia, East Malaysia, Labuan and Brunei. There are over 130 clubs in the District governed under 9 Divisions.

 The 10th Division - Division O is born! 

Before July 2018, Division K was by far the biggest Division in District 87, with a total of 32 clubs serving about 700 members. It has flourished to a point that a realignment is warranted in order for better management as well as more leadership and learning opportunity available for members. In view of this, the District came to a decision to realign the division; thus Division O is born from Division K.

The Division starts off with 3 Areas governing 12 clubs that distributed across west and east coast of Sabah (Kota Kinabalu, Kiningau, Sandakan, Lahad Datu and Tawau). 1 July 2018 marks an important date for Division O as its inaugural start of term.
