TAWAU TOASTMASTERS CLUB

1. Please introduce your club

- Tawau Toastmasters Club was chartered in 1996 and Mdm Patricia Chai was the Chartered President.

2. In your opinion, what do members seek when they join the club?

- Members are looking for a platform to practice speaking in public as well as to polish leadership skills.

3. How does your club bring value to the members?

- The club has given a fair chance to all members to be active and participate in club meetings by giving them the path and guidance to do their projects and

play meeting roles. Members are also encouraged to participate in competitions such as international speech, humorous speech, table topics and Evaluation.

4. How does a club pass on best practices to each succeeding term?

-The club encourages the club exco to attend TLI to be trained on how to lead

the club. Nevertheless, the senior members are the pillars and strength of the

club thus two way communication between old and new members are being

practiced to maintain the harmonious of the club.

5. How does a club maintain team dynamics among members and executive committee?

- Each members and executives are given chance to voice out any suggestion

or room of improvements as well as critics (in good manner) in order to ensure

the club maintain its positive values that can benefit all members. Discussion

and fellowship encourage opinions and suggestion either formally or informally that can build the club even stronger.
